Raquel Willick

About: Mrs. Willick grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Martin Luther College in May of 2021 with a double major in Elementary Education and Vocal Music. She is excited to teach preschool for the first time and has been eagerly researching and learning about these important early years. This past June she married Christian Willick, who is now one of the pastors here at Resurrection. They enjoy playing board games and card games, going on walks and hikes, and they both play several instruments.  They also have an adorable and mischievous cat named Gregory. They are looking forward to settling here in beautiful Aurora and to getting to know the school families at Resurrection.

Michelle Behrens

About: Mrs. Behrens received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College. She has experience teaching, leading book clubs, school music, school administration, and athletic director duties. She is married to Michael and they have four children-Lydia, Anna, Rebecca, and Malachi. Mrs. Behrens enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing with movies, playing piano, cross-stitching, traveling, and most of all, God’s Word through Bible studies, teaching, and worship.

Aaron Kjenstad

About: Mr. Kjenstad grew up in South Dakota and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College. He previously taught at St Marcus Lutheran School in Milwaukee.  Sarah and Mr. Kjenstad welcomed their first child, Adalynn Hope on June 26.  He enjoys all types of athletics, traveling, fishing, cheering on the Vikings, spending time with his family, and learning more about God's love for us as His children. Mr. Kjenstad is extremely excited to share the good news of Jesus with the people of Resurrection and is thankful for the opportunity to serve God's people in Aurora.

Alex Nicholson

About: Mrs. Nicholson grew up in the Madison area and received her Bachelor’s degree from Martin Luther College in Elementary Education with a minor in Educational Technology. She was recently married in the summer of 2023 to Pastor Thomas Nicholson, who serves here at Resurrection. She enjoys different areas of crafts, movies, and board games. She’s most excited to work with the different groups of students and remind them that every day is a new day by God’s grace.

Becky Miller

About: Mrs. Miller grew up in southern California and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College.  She taught for 14 years and received her Master’s of Education from Concordia River Forest, IL before becoming a stay at home mother to her two daughters.  She has been a substitute teacher and administrative assistant during the past 10 years. In addition she has directed choir and accompanies worship services at our sister church in Elgin where she remains a member. Last year she joined our Resurrection School family as secretary, substitute teacher, and music teacher. She is excited to get back into the classroom and continue her ministry here.
